Artist's Statement

Every week, the family would meet in a café to catch up and talk about what they have been up to. I would sketch them, and this is a representation of one of those moments. This was one of the last gatherings before the virus struck. Interestingly in some of the sketches early in 2020, one can see a little 'confusion' in their faces.
