Artist's Statement
I love the twists and turns of the body, in this wonderful byTitian on view at the National Gallery, we can see the exquisite relationships of every element of the painter’s art - like a musician rehearsing the music of the composers of the past, in order to learn and to keep the great heritage of our culture alive, a painter like me exploring the paintings of the past is doing the same. Every time I return to these great painters I learn something new, something unexpected catches my eye, mind and brush.
