Artist’s Statement
Drawing and Painting working on my ongoing project intensified by the prevailing sense of change from Coastal working ports to the Rural/Urban Landscapes of Britain, from childhood memories to the present which record and reflect the constant change and adaptions of an entire ways of life.

  • Martin John Fowler is an artist working in the Yorkshire Lincolnshire Borders. Whilst traveling and recording the wild coastal areas from the Scottish isles to the hidden coves of Cornwall.

    Martin works primarily outdoors on location reworking in his studio from sketches and notes made. Martin is interested in the sense and mood of a place and not making a literal copy, at the same time aiming for a critical balance of abstraction and reality. Martin’s paintings are collected both nationally and internationally.

The picture arrived this afternoon, very well packed and in excellent condition. It is indeed a very fine picture.
